the grassroots in the club claimed the title after beating their counterparts at Al Ahli Club 3-0 to emphasize the club's golden era.

Hamad Al Harbi scored a brace while Saad Al Suqaitiri added the second to steer the title into the yellow and blue path.

on the other hand the U-20 team finished runners up despite beating Al Ahli 5-1, a title painfully missed after a rocky period at the top.
